Exotic Birds Run Loose

People see these birds everyday, everywhere around here they nest in flocks of thousands of birds. Well these bird's are exotic species and the reason the nest in flocks like that is they are originally from europe and these birds lived in the city and they would nest in the few trees and use eachother to stay warm in the winter instead of flying south. These bird's made there way over on one of the colonist's boat and have settled in the United States like they have always been there many people do not think this is a exotic species because there are many birds like it around here.

Exotic Lion Spotted in Madison Twp.

Today on a walk through the playground behind madison high school we spotted a whole group of dandelion's this is originally a exotic species to ohio and the rest of the United states so many years ago there would not have been these quick growing and reproducing flours that everyone "loves". These flowers were brought like everthing else over on one of the boats that came here from birtain and were introduced to the east coast. They slowly but surley made there way all the way to california crossing mountains and rivers along the way. These flowers seed's get blown off them and can travel as far as the wind carries them.

Bird 2

I saw a blue and gold macaw today and it was beautiful. It was about 2 ft. tall about the height of a cabinet and they have a wingspan of 45 inches. Its back and upper tail is covered with brilliant blue feathers while the underside of the tail is yellow. The forehead is green  and the wing feathers are blue with green tips and the underwings are a pretty orangish yellow color. Their eyes are yellow and its legs are gray. Their diet consists of fruit, vegetable matter, seeds, nuts, leaves, and bark. Occasionally they will feed on small animal matter. While mating the female will lay one or two eggs and incubate them for 24-26 days while the male feeds her. When the chicks first hatch they are blind and have no feathers. Blue and gold macaws are prized for their beauty and peronality and they make excellent pets. Knowing this I think I'm going to catch one so I can keep him as a pet.

Plant 1 Fact

The tree we seen was 6 ft tall and was only a couple years old. The leafs are like palm leafs. The plant has a special type of wood because it is not a tree it is the worlds largerst herb but is called a tree because of there size. Most of the monkeys in the rain forrest use these trees. Bananas grow on this tree just like grapes on a vine or apples on a tree.
